Founding of TIB Group and TIB Contractor

TIB Group is established, uniting five companies with complementary technical expertise to deliver a full range of industrial studies, planning, manufacturing, and installation services for shipbuilding and onshore projects. Simultaneously, TIB Contractor is founded in Ștefănești, Romania (100 km west of Bucharest), initially focusing on industrial and tertiary construction, plumbing, industrial locksmithing, and ship/land-based fittings, with early work supporting Dacia Renault.

Establishment of TIB Interior

TIB Interior is launched as a French subsidiary to oversee turnkey projects in France. It specializes in interior fittings for ships and buildings (new and renovated)—including cabins, public spaces like restaurants and wellness areas—and mechanical welding and piping systems for offshore and nuclear sectors, leveraging 500 m² of office space and 10,000 m² of storage.

Creation of TIB Engineering

TIB Engineering is formed to meet the group’s needs for engineering, planning, and industrial studies. With a team of 15 draftsmen/planners using tools like CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, and MICRO STATION, it supports shipbuilding, onshore, offshore, and nuclear projects with 2D/3D designs, prototypes, and integration studies.

Acquisition of Baudet Shipyards

TIB Group acquires the Baudet shipyards, enhancing its technical capabilities and expertise in premium ship and interior fittings. This milestone strengthens its ability to serve top-tier maritime clients and solidifies its reputation in the industry.

Launch of TIB Marine

TIB Marine is introduced to provide a comprehensive range of shipfitting products, such as sanitary blocks, ceilings, partitions, doors, profiles, and furniture (wood and metal). It also initiates research and development focused on ship interiors to meet market trends and client quality expectations.

Over this decade, TIB Group builds a strong client portfolio, including Royal Caribbean International, Hapag Lloyd, MSC Croisières, Compagnie du Ponant, Brittany Ferries, STX Europe, Meyerwerft, Fincantieri, DCNS, Piriou Concarneau, Socarenam, CMN Cherbourg, Eiffage Construction Métallique, Bouygues Rénovation, Holcim Lafarge, EDF, and Joseph Paris Groupe Fayat. TIB Contractor earns quality certifications: ISO 9001:2008 (quality), ISO 14001:2004 (environment), and OHSAS 18001:2007 (health and safety).

TIB Group scales its operations, supported by a workforce including 3 draftsmen/planners, 7 project managers, 6 buyers/logisticians, 12 site supervisors, and 250 operators for global manufacturing and installation. Facilities grow to include 5,000 m² of workshops in Romania (with 15 machines like CNC cutting, laser cutting, and hydraulic presses) and 10,000 m² of storage in France, enhancing its capacity for shipbuilding, onshore, offshore, and nuclear projects.

TIB Group reinforces its position as a key player, with TIB Interior ranking among the top 12 co-manufacturers for STX Europe in civil and military shipbuilding.
